How to recruit new Scouts on Social Media

In order to remain strong and to be able to offer Scouting to the young people in our communities, Pack and Troops must be actively recruiting! And now, as we are
moving into Fall, is prime time to do so! Here’s how:
- WHAT – Schedule recruiting opportunities for your unit. These
- can be in person or virtual. If you can, try both to best reach all families who might be interested!
- WHEN – Schedule a couple in September, the earlier in the new school year the better. And then a follow-up or two in October.
- FREE PROMOTION TOOLS – The Connecticut Yankee Council can assist your unit in promoting recruiting events through social media advertising, and we will print recruiting flyers for your unit,

(TIP – Please provide as much lead time as possible as having the social media advertising posted two weeks in advance of any recruiting opportunity will allow for best success.)
